The article reflects on the processes of globalization in emerging urban centers, illustrating some of the dynamics that occur in terms of the management of these territories. In this context it is necessary to evaluate the challenges thatBogotahas faced to integrate into the dynamics of world development, from the identification of those critical factors considered strengths and limitations for its formation, as well as its innovative and global space. Its consolidation as a competitive and sustainable resort depends heavily on its ability to project the economic, cultural, social and symbolic values of the city. There is also a need to strengthen governance processes.
